Black opal from Madagascar usually has several colors running through it; tan, off white, dark brown and black, which blend into a unique mottled pattern, and is different on each piece. This grounding stone offers protection as it soothes your emotions, enticing you to face your fears head on while holding anxiety at bay.  Our fears are what hold us prisoner and when we can work through them the trauma becomes less potent and less likely to send us backwards to relive past experiences.  Pulling us into the “now” and allowing us to be present with ourselves helps develop a pattern of letting go, forging the powerful expression of forgiveness…for yourself and others.
