This specimen is accompanied by lots of Epidote, and salted with Calcite crystals.  The separate wedge shaped terminations are very nice, displaying a classically formed specimen.

Datolite is a soothing crystal that forms primarily in masses or granular formation. It can be found in several colors, but ours are a common pale green. Epidote is often found accompanying most of our specimens either as an inclusion or an exterior mass. Many of these pieces are salted with tiny calcite crystals. Datolite is a Greek word meaning “to divide” which describes the random formation of the wedge-shaped crystals.

Datolite is immediately calming and stabilizing when held near the heart, encouraging deeper and wider breaths, connecting the heart chakra to the entire body. As the heart expands with the breath, we are reminded that we can feel safe when our heart opens.  This is quite an eye opener for those who have difficulty trusting.
