Yaogangxian Fluorite Specimen - B
Yaogangxian Green/Purple Fluorite Specimen
Hunan Province, China
2" x 1.25" x 1.75"
The Yaogangxian Mine has been one of the most important mines in China, producing Tungsten-tin since the early 1900's. Searching only for Tungsten, the miners discarded all other mineral specimens, which the locals began to gather and sell. It honors the adage, "one man's junk is another man's treasure." Some of the prettiest fluorite in the world comes from this mine.
This green/ blue fluorite specimen has a ladder effect with purple phantoms peeking out. The teal green color is striking and the specimen is very clear.
